What should I input if I want to adjust stock quantities in SiteGiant?

To perform stock adjustment with Excel, go to Inventory > All Inventory Items > Bulk Tools > Batch Edit > Inventory > Generate.

  • Use Quantity Change if you want to add or deduct a quantity.
  • Use New Stock On Hand if you want to set the final stock quantity directly.
  • Do not put 0 if the item's original quantity is already 0, because the system will reject a zero adjustment. If you want to restock the item, enter the target quantity in New Stock On Hand instead.
  • If an item's stock has no changes, remove that item row from the file.

Notes

  • If stock was added back automatically after an order was cancelled and you do not want that quantity in inventory, you can manually adjust the stock.
  • Non-sellable stock cannot be edited directly because it is locked by existing orders. To review the related orders, go to Inventory > All Inventory Items > click item name > Item Info > Non Sellable Stock and click the icon to view the order list.
  • If you upload a file and see "Quantity Change cannot be zero", it means that row has no actual stock change. Remove that row before uploading again.
  • The system cannot upload rows where the quantity does not change. If you want to batch clean up inventory, keep only rows with an actual stock difference.
  • If the current quantity is already 1 and the final quantity should remain 1, no adjustment is needed. Remove that row from the Excel file.
  • For variation products, the Main Product SKU is only for management and does not affect stock quantity.

Once done, go to the Upload section and upload the file. If there is no error message or warning, click Proceed to complete the upload.
