LOGIN SECURITY: WHATSAPP OTP
We've enhanced Account Security by adding WhatsApp as a verification option for Login Security, giving you more flexibility when receiving verification codes.
When Login Security is enabled, Email remains the default verification method. You can also use WhatsApp to receive verification codes through your registered WhatsApp number.
If you set up an Authenticator App, it will automatically become your default verification method and Email verification will be disabled. WhatsApp will continue to be available as an alternative verification option.
How to Login with WhatsApp:
- After entering the login information, click on Try Another Way and select WhatsApp. You may scan the QR code with your device's QR code scanner to access WhatsApp, or alternatively, click the Open WhatsApp button.
- The chatbox will display a preset message, or you may directly enter the provided code and send it.
- You will receive a verification code via WhatsApp. Please enter the code to complete the verification process.
📢 WhatsApp Verification Now Requires Linking
To ensure the WhatsApp verification option continues to work reliably, users are now required to Link WhatsApp before they can use WhatsApp as a verification method.
- User must first Link WhatsApp under Account And Staff Management Settings.
- Once WhatsApp is linked, the user can select WhatsApp on the login page to receive the OTP.
- Users who have not linked WhatsApp will not be able to use WhatsApp as a verification option.
- Users who linked WhatsApp before don't have to relink.
