How to perform inventory linking in SiteGiant

Introduction

Inventory linking connects your marketplace listings to the correct inventory item (iSKU) in SiteGiant so stock can be updated correctly across channels.

Before you start, make sure your marketplace SKUs are aligned properly:

  • Every product must have a unique SKU.
  • The same product should use the same SKU across all stores.
  • Inventory linking should be done store by store.

You may also need to sync your marketplace products back into SiteGiant first if the listings were created directly in the seller center.

Steps to perform inventory linking

1. Ensure marketplace SKU alignment

Before linking inventory, make sure all marketplace store SKUs are properly tallied and unique.

This is important to ensure accurate inventory linking.

2. Sync back product if needed

If the product was created directly in the marketplace seller center and does not appear in SiteGiant yet, sync it back first.

Go to Settings > Sales Channel > Authorized Channel > (...) > Sync Back Product.

After the product appears in SiteGiant, continue with inventory linking.

3. Go to Inventory Linking

Go to Inventory > Inventory Linking.

Select the correct Channel Store.

From the inventory linking page:

  • If the item is newly created and does not have an inventory item yet, click Insert. The system will auto generate the iSKU.
  • If the iSKU already exists, click Search to find and link the existing iSKU.

For pending or draft listings, edit the iSKU in the Draft Listing field and make sure the iSKU is correct.

5. Confirm the linking

Once the correct iSKU is selected:

  1. Click Confirm.
  2. Click Review Draft Listing.
  3. Click Confirm and Save Listing.

If a listing was linked to the wrong iSKU, check which iSKU is the correct one and relink the listing to that correct iSKU.

For TikTok listings, you can update the latest iSKU in the Draft Listing field. If the existing iSKU is wrong, click Reset and set the correct iSKU again, then confirm and save the listing.

Important notes

  • Inventory linking must be done store by store.
  • All listings linked to the same inventory item will deduct stock from the same inventory when an order is received.
  • It is recommended to link the same item to one iSKU only for better inventory control.
  • If a product is not linked to any inventory item, SiteGiant will not update the quantity for that product and cannot update the sold quantity to inventory.
  • If order fulfillment cannot detect an item, check whether the listing has been linked to an iSKU.

  • Bulk inventory linking
  • Sync back product from marketplaces
  • Link marketplace product with existing inventory item
