How to bulk edit iSKU and Parent iSKU in inventory

Overview

iSKU cannot be bulk edited by file import.

Parent iSKU can be updated by file import, as long as the iSKU in the file is not changed.

Bulk edit rules

iSKU: cannot be edited through Excel export/import.
Parent iSKU: can be updated through Excel export/import.
If an upload file includes changes to iSKU, the upload may complete but the system will not apply the iSKU changes.

How to change iSKU

To change iSKU, edit it manually one by one:

Go to Inventory > All Inventory Items.
Click the item name.
Edit the iSKU.
Click Save.

How to bulk update Parent iSKU

After the iSKU has been updated manually, you can use export and import to apply Parent iSKU in bulk:

Export the Basic Info file.
Update the Parent iSKU in the file.
Do not change the iSKU column.
Import the file back into the system.

Additional note

If you insert a new iSKU during inventory linking, the iSKU is only created after you complete Review Draft Listing and Confirm and Save Listing.
