How to add a new product to TikTok seller account

Add a new product to TikTok seller account

You can create a new product from SiteGiant TikTok Listing. After the product is submitted, TikTok will review (QC) the listing first.

Before you create the product

  • Make sure a warehouse is selected in TikTok Seller Centre. If no warehouse is selected, the product update may fail.
  • Check that the SKU does not exceed 50 characters.

What happens after creating the product

  • New TikTok products may show as Reviewing while TikTok performs QC.
  • Once the product status in TikTok Seller Centre changes to Live/Active, go back to SiteGiant > Products > TikTok Listing.
  • Select the product checkbox, then click Sync Back Product > Sync Selected to get the latest info back into SiteGiant.

If the product does not appear or cannot be updated

  • If the product is in frozen status in TikTok Seller Centre, it cannot be updated until the status is resolved in TikTok Seller Centre.
  • If the error is related to TikTok listing status or category, update it on the TikTok side first, then sync back to SiteGiant.

Important for SKU or variant changes

For new product creation, you can create the listing normally.

For existing TikTok listings, changing SKU or variant should be done in TikTok Seller Centre because TikTok may lock the product structure after creation and send the listing for QC again.

After editing in TikTok Seller Centre:

  1. Go to SiteGiant > Products > TikTok Listing
  2. Select the listing checkbox
  3. Click Sync Back Product > Sync Selected
  4. Go to Inventory > Inventory Linking
  5. Select the TikTok channel store and find the product
  6. Update the latest iSKU in the Draft Listing field
  7. If the existing iSKU is wrong, click Reset and set the correct iSKU
  8. Click Confirm
  9. Click Review Draft Listing
  10. Click Confirm and Save Listing

If products are stuck in In-Queue

Sometimes TikTok API traffic may cause listings to stay in In-Queue. If that happens, recheck the listing later and sync again.
