How can I generate and print barcode labels for my products?
Overview
You can generate barcode labels in the system and print them either individually from the inventory item or in bulk.
Before you print
Make sure you have created your barcode label settings and set one of the label settings as default.
If no label setting is set as default, the Print Barcode option will not appear in the inventory item.
Print a barcode label from an inventory item
- Create and save your barcode label settings.
- Set one barcode label setting as default.
- Go to Inventory > All Inventory Items.
- Tick the item you want to print.
- Use the Print Barcode option.
Barcode source for scanning
If you use barcode scanning during packaging, make sure each linked inventory item has the correct barcode information.
- Products can use the barcode number saved in UPC.
- Go to Inventory > All Inventory Items > click item name > Item Info > UPC to set the barcode number, then Save.
- When linking the item to a listing, make sure the correct iSKU is linked with the inventory item.
If barcode scanning does not work as expected, check whether the item is linked correctly and whether the required UPC information has been filled in.
Bulk printing barcode labels
To print multiple barcode labels at once, go to Apps > Others > Barcode Label, click the 3 dots menu, and select Bulk Print Label.
Once a barcode is generated and saved in the system, there is no need to scan it back in. Printing the barcode label is mainly for operational use (e.g., sticking it on your product). You only need to scan the barcode during a sale or purchase to quickly select the item at checkout.
